Coustille
Weight: 1 lb 8 oz [681 g]
Blade Length: 16.75 in [42.5 cm]

Longer than a dagger, shorter than a short sword this could be carried for defense in towns where only nobles were allowed swords or where swords were banned entirely. The sword-style wheel pommel nicely balances the sharply tapered, strong blade which is suitable for both shearing and thrusting.

The scabbard is shown in the frog [so called because the piece of leather from which it is made looks like a spread-eagled squished frog before it is riveted together] which hangs on the belt leaving the weapon at the proper angle for rapid and effective deployment.

The white powder on the blade is a type of micro-crystalline wax used in museums to preserve iron and steel. I was too lazy to remove it; actually, I was too lazy to spend the hour and a half it would take to put it back on...

I like this one best. I compliments the long battle sword well! It's the sneaky one that you didn't see coming.

I like frogs! :)

Heh, heh, heh, actually it is pointed at the enemy along with the sword, makes you look like a scorpion.

Frogz iz kewl. I'm going to see if I can get a pic of one before it's all put together.

:D
